Biography
Il-Sug Chung received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in physics from KAIST, Korea and Ph.D. in information and communications (Optoelectronics) from GIST, Korea in 2006. Then, he joined the Research Center COM, Denmark as a postdoc research fellow. Since 2009, he has been Professor of Department of Photonics Engineering at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He is an author of 69 papers, an inventor of 12 patents, and a PI of 4 national projects (>40억원), and has been serving as a program committee of SPIE High Contrast Metastructures Conference since 2013. His research interests include silicon photonics especially light source, nano-photonics, and bio/medical imaging.
