Researchers in this field make\/develop Integrated Circuits (IC), System-on-Chip (SoC), and Embedded Systems that are used in various applications such as electronic devices, automotive semiconductors, Internet-of-Things, communication systems, mobile devices, etc. There are three design approaches: Analog, Digital, and Mixed-mode. Analog\/RF circuit design includes high-speed analog-digital domain converter (ADC\/DAC), RF and wireless communication ICs, sensor front-end, RFID, antenna, automotive IT, and healthcare sensors. Nano-nonplanar CMOS devices, multi-functional quantum devices, and novel nonvolatile memory devices, monolithic 3D integration process, low dimensional material devices (carbon nanotubes), oxide semiconductor devices, are among the technologies being researched for next-generation electronics. High-frequency\/high-power devices are being investigated using silicon compatible graphene thin-film devices and optical bandgap compound semiconductor devices. High-power devices in power converter circuits, as well as neuromorphic devices with short-term plasticity and pattern recognition, are all examples of novel concept circuits. To meet this trend, various antennas and packaging-related studies such as 3D IC packaging, smart antennas, radars for vehicles, and antennas have been conducted based on electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave application technologies.
