I am a Kyung Rok Kim, director of the Ultra-Low Power Intelligent Neuromorphic System Engineering group at UNIST.


We, the education-research group, strive to improve ‘HW-SW’ education by integrating electrical and computer engineering knowledge and emphasizing self-motivated learning in order to enable the ‘virtuous cycle of education and research.’ Based on holistic scheme convergence research, we will cultivate global leaders capable of creating neuro-computing paradigms through the implementation of ‘creative-innovative integrated technology.’


To develop global leaders, we create a comprehensive HW-SW convergence curriculum and employ UNIST’s internationalized educational environment and system. Furthermore, an Ultra-Low Power Intelligent Neuromorphic HW-SW system called ‘UniBrain’ creates a new neuro-computing research area by implementing a convergence system to develop an HW-SW convergence neuro-computing system platform through brainstorming of all members from semiconductor device-circuit design-system-software.
